# About — The Rectangle

> The Rectangle is Dream Awake Labs’s R&D and prototyping lab in Santa Cruz, developing interactive experiences and emerging technology with clients and partners.

The Rectangle brings an R&D and prototyping lab and a developing immersive experience venue into one space in Santa Cruz.

We work with clients and partners to build interactive stories and experiences, explore robotics and physical AI, and develop projection, XR, and AI agent systems. The lab gives teams a place to test and experience their ideas as they develop.

Alongside client work, we develop our own location-based experiences. Public sessions and playtests will be announced as they become available.

You can also book time for DJ practice, recording, shoots, workshops, classes, and small private sessions, arranged in advance.
